Transaction Manager - Secondary Market Due Diligence

The Transaction Manager is responsible for managing Secondary Market Due Diligence projects and overseeing day-to-day client relationships, including superior client communication, deliverables, and the oversight of all transaction- and deal-related activities for assigned clients. The primary responsibilities of the person in this position will include reporting of results to clients and counterparties.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with Due Diligence Operations Managers to ensure all SLAs are met as outlined in the Client Scope and Statement of Work
• Manage all internal and external processes and communication related to loan review and transactions for applicable Clients
• Ensure all internal hand-offs are completed within timelines
• Direct communication of progress and results to Clients
• Produce and provide all reporting to Clients and Counterparties as defined in the Statement of Work or service level agreement
• Ability to understand Secondary Market Due Diligence business needs, Rating Agency and Regulatory guidance, and adjust scope and review process if deficiencies are identified
• Responsible for the quality and timeliness of client-facing reporting and communication
• Effectively communicate any client feedback to applicable internal parties. This includes technology-based initiatives, reporting changes as needed, and script changes in the system, among other tasks.
• Sense of urgency and ability to meet or exceed all deadlines
• Contribute to reporting updates; look for ways to improve report outputs to meet client expectations
• Oversee/manage all reporting deliveries for applicable clients/counterparties. This includes the Reliance letter and securitization reporting
• Maintain ongoing knowledge of all RA guidance and regulatory updates and ensure reviews/scope is aligned with current RA and regulatory requirements

Required Education and Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of mortgage underwriting guidelines and experience in managing the post-closing Due Diligence process.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of Direct Secondary Market Mortgage Due Diligence management in the Secondary Market Mortgage Due Diligence departments.
• Minimum 5 years of direct people management in the secondary market mortgage due diligence departments.
• Extensive knowledge of all non-QM loan types: DCSR loans, non-owner-occupied loans, bank statement-based loans, and residential mixed-use loans. Deep understanding of borrowers, including LLCs, Co-Ops, and multifamily property loans.
• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) preferred in business, economics, statistics, or related field of study.
• Computer Skills: Strong background in computer programs used to manufacture or review mortgage loans and advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office product suite, specifically Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; emotional intelligence (EQ).
• Soft skills: Time management, thoughtfulness, reason and problem-solving, and professional communication.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $132,000.00 per year
