Summary
Manages all aspects of complex projects from inception to conclusion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assist Business Development group with market insights and initiatives
• Provide Nuclear power plant operational understanding, D&D and waste management strategies to develop and implement WCS service offering
• Support waste management services during Projects and NPP decommissioning
• Facilitate/perform characterization of nuclear waste
• Perform DOT and NRC waste package evaluations and plans
• Provided advanced informational systems development and implementation for various technical aspects of the waste services

Specific Responsibilities

• Project and D&D Waste Management Technical Support (characterization support/overview, waste flow management, packaging plans, etc.)
• Large Components Projects Technical Support (transportation, characterization support, etc.)
• Understand and run advanced computational analysis and programs
• ELITE or other information system tools development or enhancements (Customer experience enhancements)
• D&D planning support
• Remote and customer site shipping support
• Support/initiate waste characterization analysis and studies
• Support/initiate waste transportation analysis and plans
• Participate in customer sales calls and meetings
• Contribute to developing service definition to various customers
• Participate/lead/conduct waste service coordination at customer facilities
• Ensure quality and effective communication with customers and WCS functional departments
• Maintain up to date industry understanding
• Provide high quality technical and management reports

Education and/or Experience
Master’s degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write complex correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, internet software, information systems tools, and inventory software.

The use of a respirator may be necessary in certain circumstances. Workdays may vary in length from 10 to 16 hours per day contingent on weekly fatigue limits.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may receive occupational exposures to ionizing radiation that are As Low As is Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) and within regulatory limits.
• The noise level in the work environment will be quiet to moderate but can be very loud during demolition activities.
• The industrial working conditions at a decommissioning site change frequently and typically involve heavy equipment and power tools. The working environment during Demolition activities can create dust, loud noises, trip and fall hazards, and other safety concerns (e.g., falling object). Field temperatures can vary greatly. These work environments require the use of hard hats, steel toe shoes, hearing protection, fall protection, and other safety equipment as specified for the work being performed.
