Position Overview
The Medical Contract Negotiator / Provider Relations Manager is responsible for building, managing, and optimizing a nationwide network of medical providers who treat personal injury and lien-based patients. This role is non-sales focused and centers on contract negotiation, provider relationship management, bulk accounts receivable (AR) negotiations, and strategic partnership development. The position works closely with legal, billing, and operations teams to ensure strong provider coverage, compliant contracting, and long-term relationship sustainability.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvider Network Development & Expansion
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new medical providers across all 50 states to support personal injury and lien patient volumes
- Proactively source providers across multiple specialties relevant to personal injury treatment
- Conduct provider background checks, credential validation, and risk assessments prior to onboarding
Contract Management & Negotiation
- Lead medical contract negotiations, including fee schedules, lien terms, and reimbursement structures
- Manage contract renewals, amendments, and renegotiations to ensure competitive and sustainable terms
- Maintain organized documentation of all provider contracts and negotiated agreements
Bulk AR & Financial Negotiations
- Negotiate bulk accounts receivable (AR) settlements and resolutions with medical providers
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to evaluate AR positions, settlement strategies, and financial outcomes
Ongoing Provider Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for established provider partners
- Maintain strong working relationships to ensure continued collaboration and high-quality patient care
- Address provider concerns, resolve contract-related issues, and manage escalations as needed
Strategic Partnerships & Industry Exploration
- Scope and evaluate potential SaaS and technology-based partnerships that could enhance provider operations, billing efficiency, or reporting
- Demonstrate a willingness to explore new relationships and business models to stay informed on evolving industry trends
- Gather and share industry intelligence to support strategic decision-making
Compliance & Nationwide Operations
- Ensure contracts and provider relationships align with state-specific regulations and lien requirements
- Support nationwide operations by understanding varying legal and reimbursement landscapes across states
AI-Assisted Workflow & Automation
This role is positioned to leverage AI agent tooling to streamline high-volume, repetitive workflows and enhance the quality and speed of provider outreach, contract management, and AR negotiations. The right candidate will be comfortable adopting and iterating on AI-assisted systems as part of their day-to-day operations.
Workflow Automation with AI Agents
- Leverage AI agents to research and pre-qualify prospective provider partners across specialties and states, surfacing key credentialing and risk signals before outreach
- Automate routine provider follow-up sequences and status updates to reduce manual communication overhead
- Use AI tooling to monitor AR aging, flag priority settlement opportunities, and draft initial negotiation positions based on portfolio parameters
Talk Track & Outreach Support
- AI tools will support the development and refinement of provider outreach talk tracks for network recruitment and contract negotiations
- Candidate is expected to contribute to and iterate on AI-assisted messaging frameworks, including:
◦ Initial provider outreach scripts (cold and warm)
◦ Objection handling frameworks for lien resistance or payment disputes
◦ Renewal negotiation talking points tailored by specialty and state
- AI-generated drafts will always be reviewed and refined by this role before use — strong editing judgment and industry knowledge are essential
Process Improvement Mindset
- Identify manual workflow bottlenecks and propose AI or automation solutions in partnership with operations and technology teams
- Stay current on AI tools relevant to healthcare contracting, legal document management, and provider communications
- Willingness to test, evaluate, and provide feedback on new AI tooling as the company’s automation capabilities evolve

Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in medical contracting, provider relations, healthcare negotiations, or related roles
- Strong understanding of personal injury, lien-based medical billing, and healthcare reimbursement concepts
- Proven ability to negotiate complex agreements and manage high-value provider relationships
- Experience working with multi-state or nationwide provider networks preferred
- Comfort with or curiosity about AI-assisted tools, workflow automation, or CRM systems
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in an in-office, cross-functional environment
- Interest in continuous learning and exploring new healthcare or SaaS-related opportunities
Compensation
Base Salary: $75,000 – $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience
Bonus Potential: Eligible for performance-based bonus tied to network growth, contract outcomes, and AR recovery results
This is an in-office position based in Castle Rock, Colorado.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
