Bi-Lingual (Spanish) required
This position will be based out of Yavapai County, and will travel to Glendale, AZ regularly (for training, plus 1 day per week for events in Maricopa County).
POSITION SUMMARY
The Community Impact Specialist (CIS) plays a vital role in fostering positive relationships between the credit union and the communities we serve. The CIS will work closely with the Community Impact Manager to coordinate the organization’s efforts to create and deliver valuable financial education and wellness initiatives. The individual will have a strong understanding of the credit union, financial education strategies and curriculum, and social responsibility initiatives. This role will help support with the development and implementation of programs that align with our commitment to provide financial wellness to education-based organizations, businesses, and community relationships, while enhancing our brand reputation and growing community partnerships. The individual will enthusiastically work to achieve financial education goals and community outreach objectives, while enhancing the quality of life for our members/team members by meeting or exceeding their service expectations. Ensures that all community engagement initiative complies with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree obtained through a formal 4-year program at an accredited educational facility preferred or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 1-3 years in finance, community impact, business development, or education and training experience in a financial institution preferred. Experience developing and presenting credible financial wellness education to a diverse audience. Experience building and maintaining professional partnerships with community and business leaders. Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Ability to multi-task and be agile to serve members and employees. • Maintain working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and collaborative tools (Teams and Zoom).• Thorough knowledge and understanding of organization’s Employee Handbook and policies. • Must demonstrate functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act.
