Job Title: Major Project Delivery Manager – Civils & Infrastructure
Location: Nashville, TN
Compensation: $150,000 – $200,000 + Package
Job Profile:
We’re working with a well-established, privately owned heavy civil contractor with a long-standing reputation in infrastructure delivery across the US. As part of their continued growth, they are launching a new division focused on alternative delivery projects and are seeking a key hire to help shape and drive this initiative from the ground up. This role offers full autonomy, strategic influence, and a clear pathway for progression as the division scales.
The Opportunity:
This is a rare chance to step into a foundational role within a growing business unit, where you’ll play a critical part in securing and delivering complex infrastructure projects across sectors such as highways, bridges, and transportation.
You’ll work closely with senior leadership while having the freedom to build relationships, develop strategy, and lead pursuits your way.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new alternative delivery opportunities through strong client engagement and relationship building
- Support and lead business development activities, including market strategy and pursuit planning
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (legal, commercial, technical) to develop winning bid strategies and proposals
- Assist in the selection and coordination of JV partners, consultants, and subcontractors
- Contribute to go / no-go decisions on major pursuits
- Lead technical proposal writing and oversee submission quality
- Act as a key point of contact during preconstruction and design phases
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and design reviews with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure alignment across internal teams to deliver a cohesive project approach
- Support development of technical solutions, schedules, and cost plans
- Oversee projects from pursuit through to handover into construction
- Contribute to the growth of the team, including mentoring and future leadership responsibilities
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong experience in alternative delivery (DB, CMAR, P3 or similar) within heavy civil infrastructure
- Proven track record working on large-scale transportation projects (highways, bridges, rail)
- Ability to manage multiple pursuits and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in technical writing and client-facing settings
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of procurement and delivery frameworks
- Experience working with joint ventures and multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of scheduling, estimating, and project delivery tools
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in project management, preconstruction, or alternative delivery roles
- Experience contributing to bid strategy, pricing, and programme development
- Professional certifications (PE, DBIA) are advantageous
