East Missouri Action Agency has an opening for a Greenhouse Manager at Central Office in Park Hills.
The Greenhouse Manager will work to perform activities associated with the greenhouse systems including but not limited to: assisting the program coordinator in preparing and growing media, planting and cultivating assorted plants, and participating in various horticultural activities. This position requires knowledge of greenhouse production and business development with a proven ability to self-motivate and work independently.
Applicants must have the following:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 Year Degree or More in Horticulture, Greenhouse Technology, Agriculture or Related Field
- 6 Months of Hands On Experience in Related Field
- Graduation from High School with 3 years of Horticulture Work or an Equivalent Combination of Training and Experience May Be Accepted
- Experience with Plant Cultivation, Food Distribution, Plant Propagation and Harvesting, Inventory Control, Order Fulfillment & Quality Assurance
- Ability to Lift 50 Pounds or More
- Ability to Climb & Work on a 12 Foot Ladder
- Ability to Bend, Kneel, Twist and Stoop Throughout the Work Day
- Ability to Work in a Greenhouse with a Wide Temperature & Humidity Range
- Ability to Use Small Hand Tools, Sprayers, & Power Equipment
- A Valid MO Driver's License & Insurance
- Must Maintain Good Attendance
Starting pay for this position ranges from $16.00 - $18.00/hour with an excellent benefit package that includes the following:

Position Summary:
Successful candidates will work to perform activities associated with the greenhouse systems. The individual will be assisting the program coordinator in preparing and growing media, planting and cultivating assorted plants and participating in various horticultural activities. This position requires knowledge of greenhouse production and business development with proven ability to be self-motivated and an independent worker.
Specific Responsibilities:
Overall management of greenhouse facilities, staff, production and inventory including but not limited to: management and basic upkeep of facility, planting and harvesting crops, general day to day management of greenhouse, and deliveries for the greenhouse
Basic computer skills are needed to maintain accurate records, track plant health, document nutrient application dates and rates and cycles of preventative maintenance. As well as for forecasting spreadsheets and inventory management
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
2 year or more degree in horticulture, greenhouse technology, agriculture or related field with at least 6 months hands on experience in related field; or graduation from high school with three years in horticulture work or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Experience with plant cultivation, food distribution, plant propagation and harvesting, inventory control, order fulfillment, and quality assurance.
