Position Summary:

As a member of our technology department, the Business Analyst supports the Data Services team by helping translate business needs into clear requirements and data solutions. This role assists with planning, testing, documentation, and delivery of analytics, reporting, and data integration initiatives. The Business Analyst contributes to writing user stories, test cases, and release documentation while helping ensure solutions meet business requirements and quality standards. What You’ll Do:

• Assist stakeholders in gathering and documenting business and reporting requirements.
• Support the creation and maintenance of user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation for data and BI initiatives.
• Help develop and execute test cases to validate data accuracy, reporting functionality, and system performance.
• Assist with writing release notes, training materials, and supporting documentation for new reporting and data solutions.
• Collaborate with developers and engineers to clarify requirements and support solution delivery.
• Support backlog refinement and project coordination activities for the Data Services team.
• Assist with enhancements or updates to Power BI reports and dashboards when needed.
• Help ensure reporting and data solutions align with business needs and established data standards.
• Contribute to improving documentation, testing processes, and requirement gathering practices.

What You Need to Have and Know:

• 2–4 years of experience in business analysis, data warehousing, data analysis, reporting, or similar roles.
• Familiarity with writing user stories, documenting requirements, or supporting Agile delivery environments.
• Exposure to QA or testing processes for software, reporting, or data solutions.
• Basic to intermediate SQL skills and ability to analyze data to support testing and validation.
• Familiarity with Power BI (or another BI tool such as Tableau or Looker).
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and reporting best practices.
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Azure-based data tools such as Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or Microsoft Fabric.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or a related field — or equivalent work experience.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
