Position Overview

This role offers a balanced opportunity between servicing an existing book of commercial lines accounts and contributing to new business growth.

You will play a key role in client retention, coverage development, and account expansion, working closely with clients, carriers, and internal team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and service an established book of commercial lines accounts
• Handle renewals, endorsements, certificates, audits, and policy changes
• Provide proactive client service and coverage guidance
• Review policies for accuracy, coverage gaps, and exposure concerns
• Market and re-market accounts with carriers as needed
• Support quoting and placement of commercial coverages (GL, Property, Auto, Workers’ Compensation, Umbrella, etc.)
• Identify and act on opportunities for account rounding and cross-selling
• Develop new business organically through client relationships, referrals, and networking
• Maintain accurate documentation using agency management systems and carrier platforms

Qualifications (Required)

• Active New York State Property & Casualty License
• Minimum 2+ years of commercial lines insurance experience
• Strong working knowledge of commercial coverages and account servicing
• Ability to independently manage accounts from renewal through remarketing
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with agency management systems preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $50,000 – $65,000 (based on experience)
• Commission opportunities for new business and account growth

Work Environment & Location

This is an in-office position based in either our Clayton, NY or Oswego, NY office, depending on candidate preference and business needs.

Occasional travel for client meetings, training, or industry events may be required.
