Bullion International Group is seeking an experienced Senior Inventory Control Analyst to lead inventory controls, audit, planning and accuracy for high-value metals within our fulfillment and distribution centers. This role is critical to ensuring inventory integrity, audit readiness, and operational excellence in a fast-paced e-commerce environment influenced by global precious metals price volatility and spot-market movements.
This individual will develop inventory risk and control policies, enhance and monitor cycle count programs, audit inventory processes for compliance, and own the end-to-end reconciliation between operational and accounting inventory records — including swell, shortage, and mark-to-market variances. They will maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) governing inventory handling, counts, adjustments, and reporting, while leading special projects cross-functionally to ensure secure, accurate, and optimized inventory levels.

Inventory Accuracy & Control
Own inventory accuracy across all locations, including vault, secured storage, and active pick locations
Establish and enforce cycle count programs, reconciliation standards, and adjustment controls, including daily/periodic reconciliation between WMS, ERP, and accounting sub-ledgers
Review, approve, and document high-impact inventory adjustments, write-offs, swell/shortage entries, and mark-to-market revaluation differences between operations and accounting
Ensure strict adherence to chain-of-custody, security, and compliance requirements
Support internal and external audits with complete documentation and explanations
KPIs, Reporting & Analysis
Develop clear KPIs and accountability for inventory accuracy and audit results
Own and report inventory KPIs including accuracy %, shrink/swell, shortage, turns, aging, reconciliation variances, mark-to-market differences, and audit performance
Partner with Risk, Controller, and Accounting functions to reconcile mark-to-market valuations, resolve operations-vs-accounting variances, and support inventory valuation, COGS accuracy, and audit requirements
Use data and trend analysis to drive corrective actions and process improvements
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with vault operations on proper handling of precious metals movements between various classifications (e.g., balance sheet, bank-owned, repo, customer-owned, consignment, unallocated/allocated) and ensure proper integrity, chain-of-custody, and reconciliation across each
Collaborate with warehouse operations to ensure inventory processes don’t compromise accuracy and integrity while supporting fulfillment speed
SOPs & Documentation
Develop, maintain, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory receipt, storage, movement, cycle counts, adjustments, swell/shortage reporting, and mark-to-market reconciliation
Ensure SOPs are version-controlled, accessible, and consistently followed across vault operations, warehouse, Risk, and Accounting teams
Train Operations and Accounting personnel on SOPs and drive adoption through audits and process reviews
Systems & Process Improvement
Own inventory-related workflows within the ERP environment
Identify opportunities to improve system controls, reporting, and transaction accuracy
Lead or support inventory-related projects and system enhancements

Experience in precious metals, bullion, refining, financial services, or other high-value / high-security inventory environments, including familiarity with fine-weight accounting and spot-price-based valuation
Hands-on experience with precious metals mark-to-market accounting, including daily revaluation, unrealized gain/loss reporting, and reconciliation of MTM differences between operations and accounting systems
Experience using inventory KPIs and dashboards (eg. Tableau)
Knowledge of e-commerce fulfillment operations.
