Position Summary

The Summer Intern will gain hands-on experience in both estimating (office) and field engineering (jobsite operations). This role provides a well-rounded introduction to the construction lifecycle—from preconstruction and bidding to project execution and field coordination.

Working alongside estimators, project managers, and superintendents, the intern will support both office and field teams to help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating (Office Support)

• Attend pre-bid meetings and assist with bid preparation
• Perform quantity takeoffs and assist in cost estimating
• Review addendums and update bid documents
• Solicit and communicate with vendors and subcontractors
• Support preparation of final bid proposals

Field Engineering (Jobsite Support)

• Assist with field layout, daily reporting, and quantity tracking
• Support project documentation (RFIs, submittals, drawings, logs)
• Track materials, deliveries, and production quantities
• Assist with subcontractor coordination and site operations
• Participate in safety meetings and enforce jobsite safety standards
• Help monitor schedules, progress, and project performance

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
