We’re seeking highly experienced Sr Systems Engineers to architect, implement, and maintain a cutting-edge engineering lifecycle ecosystem supporting safety-critical aerospace systems.
In this role, you’ll serve as a technical authority responsible for integrating systems engineering data across the enterprise—connecting requirements, design, testing, and manufacturing within a fully traceable Digital Thread.
This is a senior-level opportunity for experts in IBM ELM, Requirements-Based Engineering (RBE), and aerospace compliance frameworks.
- Deep expertise with IBM ELM Suite (DOORS NG, EWM, ETM)
- Strong experience with Digital Thread architecture and enterprise integration
- Knowledge of ARP4754, DO-178C, DO-254 standards
- Experience integrating ELM with PLM tools (Teamcenter, Windchill, 3DEXPERIENCE)
- Design and maintain integrations between IBM ELM and enterprise systems (PLM, CAD, ERP, MES)
- Build linked data pipelines using:
- OSLC (Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration)
- REST APIs
- Middleware solutions (IBM Engineering Lifecycle Optimization)
- Establish data synchronization strategies to ensure a single source of truth
- Link systems engineering data to physical product structures (As-Designed / As-Built BOMs)
- Align workflows with ARP4754 aerospace development standards
- Track Development Assurance Levels (DAL A–E) across systems
- Generate automated traceability and verification matrices for audits
- Administer and configure the IBM ELM suite, including:
- DOORS Next Gen (DOORS NG)
- Engineering Workflow Management (EWM)
- Engineering Test Management (ETM)
- Rhapsody, GCM, and JTS
- Configure workflows, permissions, and project environments
- Troubleshoot performance and maintain platform stability
- Align ETM with Requirements-Based Engineering workflows
- Manage defects, change requests, and sprint planning in EWM
- Ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards
- Develop automation scripts and integrations (JavaScript, Python, APIs)
- Build enterprise dashboards and reporting frameworks (Power BI, Tableau, BIRT)
- Deliver automated reporting for compliance tracking and performance metrics
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Systems, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in systems/software engineering tools and lifecycle management
- Hands-on experience with IBM ELM ecosystem
- Strong background in Requirements-Based Engineering (RBE) and/or MBSE
- Proven experience integrating ELM with PLM systems (Teamcenter, Windchill, etc.)
- Deep understanding of safety-critical aerospace standards (ARP4754, DO-178C, DO-254)
- Strong scripting and automation experience (REST APIs, OSLC, Python/JavaScript)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- IBM ELM certifications (e.g., IBM Certified Specialist)
- Experience with Digital Thread strategies in aerospace or defense
- Familiarity with Agile, SAFe, and Waterfall methodologies
- Experience building enterprise-scale analytics and reporting solutions
- Strategic thinker with ability to connect systems engineering across the enterprise
- Strong technical leadership with a focus on data integration and traceability
- Ability to balance compliance requirements with engineering innovation
- Self-driven with the ability to own complex architectures end-to-end

Pay Details: $101.00 per hour
