Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Vibration Analyst to join our Vibration Analysis team. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to identify and resolve the root causes of field issues by applying advanced vibration analysis techniques and practical application knowledge. This role involves a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and strong communication to manage customer relationships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Safety:

• Wears safety glasses, safety shoes, and hearing protection, i.e. PPE, in required areas on the shop floor and at customer sites.
• Adheres to safety policies and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze machine and support structure vibration using sensors, analyst devices, and software systems.
• Interpret vibration trends and spectral data to assess equipment condition.
• Generate detailed reports with clear recommendations and course of action.
• Communicate findings with Engineering to ensure continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate databases and history records.

Problem-Solving & Corrective Action:

• Investigate and resolve issues at customer locations and at Deister with application knowledge and vibration analysis.
• Ensure timely response time to the customer.
• Work with Engineering, Service and Deister representatives to develop and execute corrective action plans and verify their effectiveness.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, R&D, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Logistics, to ensure alignment on quality requirements.
• Communicate warranty related problems to internal stakeholders and management.

• Ability to work in remote and safety-critical environments
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience in the above ground mining industry
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications (e.g., GD&T).
• Proficiency in data analysis and using analysis software.
• Ability to travel to customer sites as required (e.g., [50%]).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Vibration Analyst (ISO 18436 Category I, II, or III)
• Proficiency with Vibration software (e.g., MeScope, AMS Machinery Health Manager)
• Proficiency with Autodesk products

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing environment with potential exposure to noise, dust, and chemicals.
• Mining sites (open-pit and underground)
• Airline and Vehicle Travel between Deister and customer sites

Pay: $26.54 - $31.97 per hour
