Coalmont Engineering is seeking a Field Service Programmer to join our team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Field Service Programming Engineer will be responsible for executing Field Service projects by directly contributing to electrical troubleshooting, installing, and commissioning various industrial control and automation systems, including drive systems, control panels, PLC and Robotics programming, troubleshooting, power transmission and distribution, and occasional project management for heavy industry projects. The position requires hands-on shop and field experience to work both independently and within a team to successfully complete projects based on sound engineering practices, customer specifications, and expectations. This position is an opportunity to be exposed to an extremely diverse set of applications, technologies, and processes, with the expectation to grow in depth of skills and professionally.

PREFERRED DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS IN SEVERAL AREAS:
· Industrial machinery and automation process experience: Experience with the design, troubleshooting, and respective code requirements of various industrial control and safety systems.
Understanding of various industrial Fieldbuses such as Ethernet/IP and Profinet network designs.
· AC and/or DC Drives and Motors:
Experience with the installation, tuning, commissioning, and troubleshooting of various drive systems. Can demonstrate an understanding of drive design, control algorithms, and regulators.
· Low and Medium Voltage Power Systems: Can demonstrate an understanding of 3-phase power systems, transformers, protection, and NEC/NFPA code principles.
Programming: Rockwell, Siemens, Emerson, DCS Systems, HMI's etc.
· Knowledge of relevant safety and design standards:
NFPA, NEC, and others
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:
· Industrial programming heavy role
· Self-starter with attention to detail and a strong motivation to assist clients in solving complex electrical problems.

Field Service Programmer will receive a company vehicle and a company credit card for approved purchases while in the field.
