REMOTE WORK: The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 3 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.

Example of Duties

• Design, develop, and support AI-powered applications using tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, AWS Transform, and Playwright, through the entire software development lifecycle (e.g., requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, deployment, and maintenance).
• Build agentic AI workflows to enhance the efficiency of our business and technical operations.
• Participate in evaluation of AI tools and vendors to further our AI capabilities
• Assist in the integration of AI and machine learning capabilities into new and existing Judiciary systems.
• Participate in re-engineering efforts to modernize legacy applications with AI-driven features.
• Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective AI solutions.
• Continuously learn and apply emerging AI technologies, tools, and best practices to enhance Judiciary operations.
• Develop skills in AI, machine learning, and related technologies to support ongoing and future projects.

• Junior-level programming skills (e.g., Python, JavaScript, React or similar languages).
• Familiarity with AI tools, large language models (LLMs), or machine learning concepts is a plus, but not required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to a fast-paced, innovative environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate degree in a field related to computer science, information technology or the area to which the applicant is applying, such as information systems, human-computer interaction, interactive media, software engineering, computer networking, business analytics, data analytics and/or cybersecurity.

Substitution: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional IT technical experience or experience related to the area to which the applicant is applying on a year for year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits.

A bachelor’s or associate degree in any field from an accredited college or university and one year of additional paraprofessional and/or professional IT technical experience or experience related to the area to which the applicant is applying may be substituted for the required education.

A bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a field related to computer science, information technology or the area to which the applicant is applying, such as information systems, human-computer interaction, interactive media, software engineering, computer networking, business analytics, data analytics and/or cybersecurity may be substituted for the required education.
