The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine is currently seeking a Coordinator of Academic Support Services to join our team of professionals
Duties:
Serve as Chief Proctor during assigned examinations
Coordinate exam scheduling across courses, clerkships, and cohorts, including concurrent or overlapping assessments
Prepare testing rooms (timing protocols, accommodations, signage, materials). Maintains a proper testing environment during administrations.
Coordinate make-up exams, remediation assessments, and re-testing as approved
Ensure compliance with exam timing, break policies, and standardized administration procedures.
Implement approved testing accommodations in coordination with Disability Services / Student Affairs. Maintains confidentiality and documentation related to student accommodations.
Communicate exam instructions, policies, and logistics clearly to students and faculty. Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external constituent
Serve as a point of contact for students during assessment-related issues or concerns
Support item analysis, exam reliability metrics, and post-exam reviews with faculty. Coordinate technical components of assessment, data collection instruments, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, and interpretation of the results.
Collaborate with the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine (HWCOM) Information Technology (IT) to ensure reporting tools, training modules, and other web-based evaluation and assessment systems are in order.
Assist in the creation of various reports for faculty, deans and other administrators for accessing student progress and departmental activities.
Use software systems specific to assessment and evaluations (e.g., ExamSoft, NBME, and e-value, CanvasMed).
Oversee the security of tests and related materials for the purpose of ensuring the integrity of the test results
Enforce procedures related to exam security and integrity. Investigates and resolves testing irregularities. Tracks, documents, and reports testing incidents or irregularities.
Performs related duties as required or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of appropriate experience, or Master's degree.
Experience in educational assessment, exam administration, and statistics or research preferred.
Knowledge of EXCEL software
Knowledge of educational statistics and research preferred
