Position Summary
Repairs all Telesis mechanical and electronic standard products and equipment. Interfaces with Repairs Coordinator as required for job clarification and prioritization. Works towards continual improvement of the product and the work cell.
Key Responsibilities
· Accepts responsibility for performing all assembly and test functions within the work cell as developed by Telesis Technologies, Inc.
· Be knowledgeable of and understand all documentation used in the repairs work cell.
· Assists other Repair Technicians and the Technical Services Manager as requested.
· Participates in cross training; both as a trainee and a trainer, in the repairs work cell and throughout Telesis Technologies, Inc.
· Performs testing and inspection to ensure that repaired parts and assemblies meet Telesis specifications and are free from defects and perform properly.
· Maintains product knowledge, keeps abreast of new products and updates.
· Will generate Engineering Change Requests and Corrective Action Requests when needed to ensure a quality product.
· Provides technical information to the Product development Group, Quality and Technical Services when appropriate.
· Works towards continual improvement of the product and self.
· Be aware of and report any problems or potential problems to the Technical Services Manager.
· Adheres to the confidentiality policy of Telesis Technologies, Inc.
· Shows support of Telesis through speech and actions.
· Complies with all of Telesis rules and regulations.
· Ability to interface positively with all levels of personnel and to be a team player.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Experience in wiring and assembly of electrical and mechanical devices.
· Must have basic knowledge of electronics and computer usage skills.
· Two years manufacturing experience.
· Must be able to read and understand Mechanical and Electrical prints.
· Must be trained to solder and use crimping tools.
· Product knowledge required.
· Ability to keep abreast of new products and product updates is essential.
· Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as analytical and technical documentation skills.
· Must be able to juggle multiple projects while following through on all required tasks.
· Must be able to respond quickly and efficiently while maintaining full accountability of product functionality.
· Must be capable of memorizing and following procedures for multiple assignments.
· Ability to work in an occasional noisy environment.
· Must be able to tolerate a lot of different functions operating in and around the area.
· Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds safely.
· Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, lift and twist.
