JOB DESCRIPTION:
Tenure-track Assistant / Associate Professor position in the Department of Computer Science. The successful faculty must have a genuine commitment to teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses, advising undergraduate and graduate students, and supervising research in computer science or related fields. The faculty member must have earned a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline and will be expected to teach a full course load, advise undergraduate and graduate students, and facilitate research. A successful candidate will be expected to understand how individual learning outcomes are assessed and develop dynamic, independent research in areas of big data, cybersecurity, networks, artificial intelligence, data visualization, software engineering, high-performance computing, mobile computing, quantum computing, robotics, and so on. The faculty member is expected to contribute to the academic mission of the department and institution through excellence in instruction, an active research agenda, the potential for extramural research funding, and meaningful student mentorship.
