As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Senior Market Research Manager to join our team. This leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee complex research initiatives, manage client relationships, mentor research staff, and play a key role in delivering strategic insights that shape the future of healthcare brands.
Position Summary
The Senior Market Research Manager will lead qualitative and quantitative market research programs from proposal development through final client delivery. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with extensive healthcare market research experience, strong qualitative moderation skills, proven leadership capabilities, and a track record of managing client relationships at a senior level.
This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, lead cross-functional project teams, and contribute to the continued growth and success of OptiBrand Rx.
Key Responsibilities
Research Leadership
- Lead the design, execution, and analysis of qualitative and quantitative market research studies.
- Develop research methodologies tailored to client objectives, including in-depth interviews, focus groups, development and analysis of quantitative surveys, and other custom research approaches.
- Moderate qualitative interviews and group discussions with physicians, patients, caregivers, payers, and other healthcare stakeholders.
- Synthesize complex data into meaningful insights and actionable strategic recommendations.
- Ensure the highest standards of research quality, accuracy, and methodological rigor.
Client Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients and research engagements.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and strategic partnership.
- Lead client meetings, presentations, and research debriefs.
- Understand client business objectives and translate them into effective research solutions.
- Support business development activities, including proposal writing, scope development, and client pitches.
Team Leadership
- Manage, mentor, and develop junior research team members.
- Review and provide feedback on research materials, analyses, presentations, and deliverables.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture focused on excellence and continuous learning.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training initiatives as the company grows.
Strategic Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify trends, opportunities, and strategic implications.
- Oversee statistical analyses and interpretation of research findings.
- Develop executive-level reports and client presentations that clearly communicate key insights and recommendations.
- Ensure research findings are translated into compelling narratives that support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business, Psychology, Social Sciences, Statistics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional market research experience, preferably within healthcare, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or healthcare consulting environments.
- Demonstrated experience moderating qualitative interviews and focus groups with healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers, or other key stakeholders.
- Proven experience managing and developing research teams.
- Strong client-facing experience with responsibility for managing client relationships and presenting research findings to senior stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Experience conducting pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare-related market research.
- Proficiency with statistical software such as SPSS, R, SAS, or equivalent platforms.
- Experience in healthcare branding, product positioning, brand strategy, or commercialization research.
- Previous experience in a research agency, consulting firm, or healthcare insights organization.
- Business development and proposal-writing experience.
