Position Title: Team Lead

CS Manufacturing based out of Cedar Springs Michigan is opening a manufacturing facility in Grandview, MO in early 2020. Founded in 1986, CS Manufacturing is a full-service injection molder offering total program management capabilities. The newly renovated 50,000 square foot manufacturing facility has been designed to provide a world class work environment that features 7 highly automated 200-1000 ton presses, flexible work centers, and warehousing space to service its customers.

Job Summary:

Under direction of the shift supervisor this position will be responsible for the overall

performance and quality of product produced.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all operators assigned to his/her work cell are appropriately trained per the operator training procedure, prior to working alone on any job.
• Ensure that all procedures outlined in the team leaders work instructions are strictly adhered to and documented.
• Responsible for the timely coordination of mold changes with shift supervisor
• Assist in Mold Change per first piece approval work instruction.
• Monitor process performance, efficiencies, scrap rate and quality performance.
• Schedule operator to work cells per schedule. Reference operator training matrix.
• Conduct and review housekeeping audits with team members at least once weekly.
• Coach, guide and direct all assigned team members.
• Quality-Audit product per audit plan and 100% list for quality assurance.
• Ensure operators are trained to all Quality Alerts issued.
• First piece approval at each set up and retaining a last shot.
• Ensure that all visual aids are present at work center.
• Audit all finished goods boxes and verify on production label.
• Supervise and audit various types of re-work processes.
• Participate in quality corrective action processes.
• Ensure that all areas of plant are neat and orderly.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

• 2-3 years of plastic injection molding manufacturing
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of workforce

• Problem Solving Skills
