RN Clinical Coordinator – Ambulatory Surgery Center
Position Summary
The RN Clinical Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily clinical operations within the Ambulatory Surgery Center. This role serves as a clinical leader and resource for nursing staff, physicians, anesthesia providers, and patients to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative process. The Clinical Coordinator promotes regulatory compliance, quality improvement, staff development, and operational excellence while supporting a positive patient experience.
Must be available to work Full Time, 40 hours a week. 10 hour shifts within time frame 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Must have excellent IV Administration skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily clinical operations for Pre-Op, Operating Room, and PACU areas.
- Serve as a clinical resource and leader for nursing and support staff.
- Ensure patient care is delivered in accordance with ASC policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate efficient patient flow and surgical scheduling.
- Monitor patient safety, quality outcomes, infection prevention practices, and risk management initiatives.
- Assist with staff scheduling, orientation, competency assessments, and ongoing education.
- Participate in performance improvement activities, audits, and quality assurance programs.
- Review clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Support inventory management, equipment readiness, and supply utilization.
- Assist with patient assessments, direct patient care, and emergency response as needed.
- Address patient, physician, and staff concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Promote exceptional customer service and patient satisfaction.
- Maintain compliance with CMS, AAAHC, Joint Commission, OSHA, and state regulations as applicable.
Qualifications Required
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of NY.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of perioperative nursing experience in an ambulatory surgery center, operating room, PACU, or acute care surgical setting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred
- BSN degree.
- CNOR, CAPA, CPAN, or Certified Ambulatory Surgery Nurse (CNAMB) certification.
- Previous supervisory, charge nurse, or clinical coordinator experience.
- Knowledge of ASC accreditation and regulatory standards.

Pay: $55.00 - $63.00 per hour
