About Us Haliant is a specialty water treatment manufacturer producing commercial and industrial reverse osmosis systems, skid-mounted treatment systems, and custom water purification equipment. We serve clients across construction, manufacturing, and industrial water treatment. We're a growing company with an expanding order book and are building the team that will carry us forward.
The Role We're looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Operations Coordinator to learn our systems, processes, and product line from the ground up. You'll work directly alongside our senior operations leader — who has decades of experience in water treatment manufacturing — learning both the physical craft of building complex water systems and the operational side of running a specialty manufacturing business.
This is a deliberate apprenticeship into operations leadership. If you want to eventually run a manufacturing operation, this is how you start.
What You'll Do
- Work hands-on on the shop floor daily alongside our senior technician — pipe fitting, welding, mechanical assembly, pressure testing, and system startup on commercial and industrial water treatment skids
- Learn the full build process from raw components to completed, customer-ready skid-mounted systems
- Shadow and support our senior operations manager across all aspects of project execution and manufacturing coordination
- Track open orders, project milestones, and delivery timelines across multiple simultaneous jobs
- Learn to read, interpret, and organize P&ID and general arrangement drawings — AutoCAD training provided for the right candidate
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and customers on materials, logistics, and delivery
- Document processes, procedures, and institutional knowledge as we build our operations playbook
- Gradually take on independent project ownership as your competency and confidence grow
- Assist with quality control, system testing, and job closeout on every order
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude is essential — welding, pipe fitting, fabrication, or general industrial assembly experience is a significant plus
- Comfortable working in a shop environment daily — this role is equally shop floor and coordination, you need to be comfortable getting your hands dirty
- Highly organized — you'll be juggling multiple jobs and deadlines simultaneously
- Mechanically curious — you want to understand how systems work, not just execute tasks
- Strong communicator — our customers are sophisticated industrial and commercial buyers
- Some background in manufacturing, industrial trades, mechanical systems, plumbing, or water treatment is a plus — but not required if you're the right person
- AutoCAD or technical drafting experience is a bonus, not a requirement — we will train you
- Military veterans with mechanical, systems, or maintenance backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field is helpful but not a dealbreaker — we hire on aptitude and attitude
What You Won't Find Here A rigid corporate environment. This is a small, skilled team where your work is visible, your growth is real, and the person training you has built these systems with his own hands for decades. If you want to clock in and clock out, this isn't the right fit. If you want to learn a real craft and grow into running a manufacturing operation, we want to talk to you.
Compensation & Growth
- $40,000–$55,000 base salary depending on experience
- Performance-based retention bonus after 12 months
- Hands-on training in water treatment manufacturing, fabrication, and operations management
- Clear path to operations leadership as the company scales
Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
