We are seeking an exceptionally organized, "Type-A" individual to own the physical flow of our beer. As the Operations & Logistics Lead, you are the gatekeeper of the coldbox. You will ensure every can and keg is accounted for, every delivery route is optimized, and our packaging line runs like a Swiss watch. This is a high-intensity, physically demanding role for someone who takes pride in "perfect" inventory and flawless logistics.
Key Responsibilities
1. Coldbox & Inventory Ownership
Strict Inventory Control: Conduct daily counts of finished goods. You are responsible for ensuring that what is in the computer matches what is on the floor—zero exceptions.
Fulfillment: Pick and stage orders for wholesale accounts and taproom transfers with 100% accuracy.
Product Rotation: Manage FIFO (First-In, First-Out) standards to ensure maximum freshness for our customers.
2. Packaging & Keg Operations
Packaging Support: Serve as a core member of the canning crew, focusing on quality control, seam integrity, and weight checks.
Keg Management: Operate the keg washer and manage the "dirty" inventory. Ensure the brewhouse always has a surplus of sanitized, pressurized kegs ready for racking.
Supplies: Track inventory of packaging materials (labels, flats, pak-techs) and alert the Brewhouse when re-orders are needed.
3. Logistics & Delivery
Routing: Organize and sequence weekly wholesale delivery routes for maximum efficiency.
Field Execution: Act as the primary backup driver and delivery assistant. You will represent the brewery at retail accounts, ensuring professional delivery and accurate invoicing.
Fleet Care: Keep the delivery vehicle clean, organized, and scheduled for routine maintenance.
4. Facilities Maintenance
Maintain a "tour-ready" level of cleanliness in the warehouse, loading dock, and coldbox.
Perform basic facility tasks (e.g., light bulb changes, organizing pallet storage, clearing drains).
Physical Requirements
Heavy Maneuvering: Must be able to move full half-barrel kegs (approx. 165 lbs) and lift 50 lbs repeatedly over the head (stacking cases/kegs).
Endurance: Ability to work on your feet in a wet, loud, and cold environment for full shifts.
Safety First: Strict adherence to PPE and lifting safety protocols is a non-negotiable requirement.
Qualifications
The "Anal-Retentive" Edge: You are naturally bothered by clutter and inaccuracies. You prefer a labeled shelf and a documented process.
Dependability: You are the person the Sales and Brewhouse teams rely on to make sure the "last mile" happens correctly.
Clean Driving Record: A valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a delivery vehicle safely.
Internal Dynamics: How This Works
Sales tells you WHO needs beer and WHEN.
Brewhouse tells you WHAT was made and HOW to package it.
YOU manage the WHERE, the HOW MUCH, and the GETTING IT THERE.
Pro-Tip for Hiring: Look for people with backgrounds in high-volume kitchen management, warehouse shipping/receiving, or small-parcel delivery. These roles breed the "Lead" mentality—knowing how to take orders from two different departments while staying organized under pressure.
Must also have the physical capacity to lift 200lb kegs
