This position supports a mission-critical federal tax processing environment, where our team sustains and optimizes the core IBM mainframe systems that process the nation’s master file data. We are seeking a Senior ALC Developer with deep Assembly Language Coding expertise who can develop, debug, and optimize high-performance routines at the heart of these high-availability systems, and who excels at the system integration work that keeps a complex mainframe environment running reliably.

Position Overview
The Senior ALC Developer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, debugging, and optimizing Assembly Language Coding (ALC) applications on an IBM Mainframe platform in support of a federal tax processing and master file research environment. This role requires extensive experience in mainframe application development, a strong command of system integration within a high-availability environment, and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize performance at a low level. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues, implement enhancements, and ensure all changes meet federal standards before deployment.
This is a full-time, hybrid role requiring availability during normal business hours, with occasional night and weekend work as needed based on project demands. Personnel must have reasonable access to the government site in Lanham, MD and be able to travel there within two hours’ notice. The Senior ALC Developer reports to the Technical Program Manager and works closely with development, testing, and operations teams to ensure high-quality software development and system integration.
