Prefer ET or CT zones for remote workers. Open to MT zone, but will have to join daily POD calls to start their day at 8:45AM ET/ 6:45 AM MT
Civil and structural engineering role focused on design, analysis, and modification support for power plant structures, supports, and heavy load components.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Minimum 5 years of civil or structural engineering experience
- Experience with design and analysis of concrete and steel structures
- Experience with heavy load components and equipment supports
- Experience performing design calculations and developing specifications
- Experience with conceptual studies, cost studies, and planning studies
- Experience developing 3-D analytical models
- Experience using finite element analysis software
- Experience with response spectra seismic analysis
- Experience with Mathcad or Matlab
- Experience preparing and reviewing documents for pipe supports, building structure modifications, and rigging load evaluations
- Knowledge of steel design using AISC Allowable Stress Design (ASD)
Preferred Skills
- Previous design verification qualification or certification on commercial nuclear projects under 10CFR50 Appendix B QA programs
- Experience with Mathcad Prime
- Experience with GTSTRUDL
- Experience performing piping analysis per ASME B31.1
- Experience with structural analysis in commercial nuclear environments
Job Responsibilities
