Senior Electrical Engineer Position Summary
Under the direction of Engineering Leadership, the Senior Electrical Engineer provides technical leadership for the design, development, support, and continuous improvement of electronic products and subsystems. This hands-on role assumes ownership of existing product platforms while contributing to new product development and supporting products throughout their lifecycle. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, including new product development, sustaining engineering, manufacturing support, and customer-driven activities.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and assume ownership of the design, development, and support of existing and future product platforms and development projects.
- Assist with the development of product requirements and functional specifications.
- Participate in architecture development and design concept generation.
- Develop schematics, PCB layouts, and supporting documentation.
- Perform circuit analysis, simulations, and design calculations.
- Build, debug, and evaluate prototypes using a hands-on approach.
- Plan and execute design verification and validation activities.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for product, manufacturing, and field issues.
- Support product lifecycle activities, including engineering changes, product releases, continuous improvement initiatives, and sustaining engineering efforts.
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials, specifications, drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Collaborate closely with mechanical, software, quality, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities ranging from new product development and customer-driven modifications to manufacturing support and field issue resolution.
- Estimate engineering effort, establish priorities, and communicate project status to stakeholders.
- Assist with component selection, alternate sourcing, and component obsolescence management.
- Evaluate new technologies, components, and design approaches to support future product development.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other design team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 10+ years of electrical product development experience, including design, verification, manufacturing support, and sustaining engineering.
- Demonstrated experience developing products from concept through production and sustaining engineering support.
- Strong analog and digital circuit design skills.
- Understanding of PCB layout principles, signal integrity, and power distribution.
- Experience troubleshooting electronic assemblies and systems using standard laboratory equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Experience with microprocessor and microcontroller-based designs.
- Experience with driving displays including LVDS, RGB, eDP, MIPI.
- Experience with communication interfaces including USB, Ethernet, SPI, I²C, UART, RS-232, RS-485, and CAN.
- Familiarity with signal integrity, high-speed interfaces, and EMI/EMC design practices.
- Familiarity with UL, FCC, CE, IEC, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Experience supporting manufacturing and product lifecycle management.
- Experience working directly with customers and suppliers.
- Previous technical leadership or project leadership experience.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
