The Spatial Technologies Unit (STU / www.spatialtechnology.org), Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center / Harvard Medical School Initiative for RNA Medicine / Harvard Cancer Center, is seeking a Spatial - Single Cell Omics Bioinformatician
The Bioinformatician will have the ability to train and work on some of the largest and most exciting single cell and spatial tissue profiling datasets, as well as on novel technologies or assays that are not elsewhere available.
We have 2 positions open for entry level or experienced professionals. For the entry level position no prior experience in spatial assays is required.
For both positions experience in working with NGS data and especially in single cell assays is considered as a prerequisite.
Spatial Technologies, including Spatial Transcriptomics and Proteomics, were deemed “Method of the Year 2020” by Nature Methods Journal and are currently revolutionizing biomedical research. The Spatial Technologies Unit is a reference center for the provision and advancement of single cell and spatial tissue profiling, and a focal point for Spatial Technologies research and development in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and across the United States. It hosts a comprehensive collection of leading spatial and single cell technologies from10x Genomics (Visium, Xenium, Connect, X), Bruker/NanoString (GeoMx), Akoya (PhenoImager, PhenoCycler Fusion), Vizgen (MERSCOPE), Singular Genomics G4X, and Illumina Spatial Technology.
Its unparalleled technological infrastructure, its location within the Harvard Medical School Ecosystem, and its translational role in a leading medical center provides exceptional opportunities for cutting-edge research and applications.
The STU provides exceptional opportunities for growth and the ability to become a leader in the exciting field of single cell and spatial tissue profiling.
