About the Role
Pivotal Solutions is seeking a skilled Level III Audiovisual Technician to join our growing team in Denver, Colorado. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and support of advanced audiovisual and multimedia (AVMM) systems in secure and government-adjacent environments. You will work alongside experienced engineers and project leads to deliver high-quality solutions that meet stringent technical and compliance standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced AV professional looking to take the next step in their career within the defense and government contracting space. While an active clearance is not required to start, candidates must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, and dress low-voltage cabling including fiber, copper, audio, and control wiring.
- Configure and integrate AV equipment from manufacturers such as Crestron, Biamp, Evertz Microsystems, Extron, Haivision, and Matrox.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, system block diagrams, and build-to documents to execute installations accurately.
- Build, test, and troubleshoot AV equipment and network configurations in rack-mount and field environments.
- Assemble and mount equipment using appropriate hardware, brackets, and support structures.
- Assist in integrating audio and video teleconferencing (VTC) systems.
- Develop system mock-ups to support testing and integration efforts.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with AV systems, escalating complex problems as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate documentation for installations, configurations, and as-built drawings.
- Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers throughout project lifecycle.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in audiovisual system installation and integration; 7–10 years preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, blueprints, and related technical documents.
- Experience with low-voltage wiring, cable termination, and rack wiring within the past 5 years.
- Hands-on installation experience with Crestron and/or Extron systems strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with basic network device configuration as it relates to AV systems.
- U.S. Citizenship required; must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS/SCI) security clearance.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical documentation and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced project environment.
Desired Qualifications
- InfoComm/AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) credential.
- Experience with Video Wall installation and configuration.
- Familiarity with Cisco networking fundamentals (CCNA or equivalent knowledge a plus).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Prior experience working on government, DoD, or classified facility projects.
- Experience with Evertz Microsystems, Haivision, or Matrox video distribution and signal processing platforms.
Education Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Technical certifications, vocational training, or an associate's degree in a relevant field are a plus.
Security Clearance Requirements
Candidates are not required to hold an active clearance at the time of hire; however, the selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility. U.S. Citizenship is required to meet this requirement.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (approx. 20% of the time).
- Must be able to hear clearly for system testing and verbal communication on job sites.
- Must have full visual acuity to inspect, identify, and assess equipment and cabling.
- Dexterity to handle tools and equipment, terminate connectors, and assemble hardware.
- Travel up to 50% may be required.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
