• You will serve as the Branch Manager for the Non-Destructive Evaluation Branch (M62) responsible for leading and supervising a workforce who provide Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) support.
• You will develop and manage a strategic plan for current and future warfighter/sponsor NDE requirements ensuring alignment with Department and Command strategy.
• You will oversee the management, analysis, evaluation, performance, and execution of all programs/projects.
• You will provide financial and administrative leadership to accomplish program objectives through a thorough understanding of operational requirements.
• You will make key financial and operational decisions that impact internal branch performance and external integration across the operational environment.
• You will ensure the most capable, efficient, and cost effective systems are available to support readiness and meet needs.
• You will be responsible for ensuring safety protocols are clearly defined and adhered to.

• You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
• Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals).
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Education Requirements:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-12/13)grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer or scientist leading technical projects or teams in radiographic inspection or test and evaluation to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
