Do you enjoy working with children and making a positive impact after school? We’re looking for a caring, dependable After-School Program Assistant to help create a safe, supportive, and Christ-centered environment where children can grow academically, socially, and spiritually.

This role is ideal for education majors, youth workers, ministry-minded individuals, or anyone passionate about helping children thrive.

This is a part-time position with the schedule of Monday-Friday from 12PM - 5 PM.

What You’ll Do

• Supervise and engage school-aged children during after-school hours
• Assist with homework, learning activities, and skill development
• Lead and support fun, age-appropriate games and group activities
• Encourage positive behavior and model respect and kindness
• Build strong relationships with children, parents, volunteers, and staff
• Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming program environment
• Transport children or staff as needed using ministry vans

Behavior Support (Training Provided)

• Support children with behavioral needs using positive behavior strategies
• Follow guidance from program leadership and behavior specialists
• Document basic behavior observations as needed

(Experience with ABA or behavioral health is a plus—but not required.)

Requirements

Education: Certificate from college or technical school and/or training, RBT (Registered Behavioral Technician) certification.

Experience: 2-3 yrs of job related work experience.

Communication Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups.

Math Skills: Intermediate: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.

Reasoning: High Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Job Related Certifications / Licensing / Professional Registry or Memberships Requirements:

(List below any required licensing/certifications to perform any essential job duties). Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis.

Driving Requirements: Required to drive a DOT Company Vehicle.
