Position Summary:
The Accounting Specialist is responsible for managing core accounting operations, focusing on the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes. Serving as a crucial controller of financial data within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, this role ensures rigorous internal controls, precise data integrity, and provides essential support for the month-end financial close.
Key Responsibilities:
· Accounts Payable (P2P) & Payment Control: Execute a rigorous 3-way matching process (Purchase Orders, Goods Receipts, and Invoices) prior to A/P processing. Manage AP journal entries, conduct vendor statement reconciliations, and prepare weekly/monthly payment run lists for management approval.
· Accounts Receivable (O2C) & Billing: Review shipping documents (e.g., B/L, POD) to issue accurate sales invoices. Manage AR aging and reconcile cash collections against open invoices to prevent revenue leakage.
· Expense & Cash Management: Review and post T&E (Travel & Entertainment) expenses and corporate credit card transactions. Perform regular bank reconciliations by matching transactions with the internal system ledger to maintain financial integrity.
· Month-End Close Support: Assist the P&C Manager in the month-end closing process by maintaining and updating essential financial schedules, including Prepaid Expenses, Accrued Expenses, and Fixed Asset registers.
Required Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Experience: 0–2 years of experience in accounting operations (AP/AR) or corporate finance, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
· Skills: Strong proficiency in MS Office, mainly Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables). Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (US GAAP & K-GAAP). Experience in accounting software including QuickBooks Online and ERP systems is highly preferred.
· Personal Attributes: Highly organized, detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of taking ownership of financial data.
· Language: Preferably bilingual in English and Korean
