Job Summary:
This position will report to our Electronics Engineering Manager in the System Design Department and is responsible for leading the design and development of complex electronic systems. They are responsible for translating high-level architectural requirements into execution across the full hardware lifecycle—from schematic design and analog simulation to high-density PCB layout. The individua will serve as a Subject Matter Expert in hardware implementation, ensuring all designs meet rigorous standards for signal integrity and manufacturability.
Key Responsibilities:

Detailed Design & Layout: Execute complex, multi-layer PCB designs using Cadence Allegro, focusing on high-speed digital routing, impedance matching, and power distribution.

Simulation & Verification: Perform analog and power integrity simulations in Spice to validate design margins and component selections.

Technical Standards: Maintain departmental design rules, footprint libraries, and BOM standards to ensure consistent quality and ease of fabrication.

Peer Leadership: Review the drawings, calculations, and layouts of junior engineers to ensure accuracy and adherence to best practices.

Lifecycle Support: Identify and resolve component obsolescence (EOL) issues and interface with PCB fabrication partners to resolve DFM/DFA conflicts.

Onsite Lab Testing: Lead the bring-up and verification of new hardware using high-speed oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field, and/or equivalent experience.

5 years relevant engineering experience.

Proficient in Cadence Allegro, LTSpice, Python, and Git.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent prioritization and project development skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.

Ability to travel up to 5% domestically and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree

Experience designing and working with high-speed interfaces, including Ethernet, PCIe, and USB-C layout.

Familiarity with Verilog/HDL and FPGA hardware requirements including bank voltages, clocking, and transceivers.
- Proficient in embedded systems development with strong literacy in Linux, understanding of RTOS timing and driver-level hardware interactions.
