What You’ll Do
1. Learn the Sales Game (Shadowing & Training)
- Ride along on real in‑home painting estimates with the owner
- Learn how to inspect projects, spot issues, and scope work
- Practice how to build trust, present options, handle objections, and follow up
2. Create New Opportunities (Field Prospecting)
When you’re not on estimates, you’re in the field:
- Knock doors in targeted neighborhoods (expect 100–200 doors in a solid shift)
- Talk to homeowners about upcoming painting projects
- Set estimate appointments and help fill the calendar
- Log doors, conversations, and appointments in our system
A Typical Ramp
- First 30 days: Paid training, ride‑alongs, script practice, knocking doors
- Days 30–90: Start running smaller, lower‑risk estimates with support
- Months 6–12: If you’re hitting activity and close‑rate targets, step into a Full Estimator role running your own calendar and earning higher income
Compensation Structure
This is a performance-based field sales apprenticeship with a clear plan:
- Appointment set bonus: 1% (capped) on sold jobs that came from appointments you set
- Closed job – company lead: 8% commission
- Closed job – self-generated lead (from your doors): 13% commission
Example: On a $7,000 self-generated job that you both set and close, you can earn up to 18%, which is over $1,200 on that one project.
Hit an average of 5 kept appointments set per week and 4 closed jobs per week, and you unlock the Full Estimator comp plan and more responsibility.

Requirements
- Sales or door‑to‑door experience preferred (roofing, solar, windows, HVAC, painting, etc. a plus)
- No painting experience required (we train you on that)
- Comfortable walking neighborhoods and talking to homeowners
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Professional, confident, and hungry to grow
- Willing to work some Evenings and Weekends when needed
