Product Engineer I- Oxford, Alabama

Product Engineer I is an Early-Career role supporting aerospace investment casting processes, building a foundational engineering skillset, and developing knowledge of the process through tasks and responsibilities such as process monitoring, part-specific production maintenance, tooling support, and yield improvement. This position offers exposure to all areas and processes involved in manufacturing aerospace cast products in partnership with a mentor. As part of our 2-year graduate development program, participants will spend their first year in Oxford, AL before rotating to Groton, CT in year two, gaining valuable cross-site experience and exposure to different teams, products, and manufacturing environments.

Salary: $65,000

Process Engineer I- Groton, Connecticut

Process Engineer I is an Early-Career role supporting aerospace investment casting processes, building a foundational engineering skillset while developing knowledge of the process through tasks and responsibilities such as process ownership, monitoring, and process control; process-specific production maintenance; definition and execution of process methods and yield improvement. While this position offers exposure to all areas and processes involved in the manufacturing of aerospace cast products, the focus is on a subset of the manufacturing process and that function’s upstream and downstream consequences. The role initially is in partnership with a mentor until autonomous performance is demonstrated. As part of our 2-year graduate development program, participants will spend their first year in Groton, CT before rotating to Oxford, AL in year two, gaining valuable cross-site experience and exposure to different teams, products, and manufacturing environments.

Salary: $65,000

Ceramist I / Ceramic Engineer I- Groton, Connecticut

Ceramist I / Ceramic Engineer Iis an Early-Career role supporting aerospace investment casting manufacturing and the multiple uses of ceramic materials and components across the production process. The primary use of ceramics in investment casting is in building molds by repeatedly dipping the wax assembly of the geometry to be cast into various combinations and sequences of ceramic slurries and applying various grades of stucco. From mold build through dewax and mold firing, the ceramist is responsible for the identification, investigation and control of Key Process Variables that govern mold integrity, performance and compatibility with the alloys poured into the mold, with the key goals of consistently producing molds of proper quality at a rate that ensures proper production throughput. The ceramist manages the chemistry of the slurries, robot movements of dip, drain and stucco application; and the thermodynamics of the drying environment to maximize yields. Involvement in troubleshooting and improvement initiatives are expected. The role initially is in partnership with the ceramics subject matter expert until autonomous performance is demonstrated.

Salary: $65,000

Metallurgist I- Long Beach, California

Metallurgist I is an Early-Career role supporting aerospace investment casting manufacturing through metallurgical laboratory activities and validations across the production process. The metallurgical team is responsible for a variety of tests and validations covering the alloys used to produce castings, the castings themselves, as well as the materials used to produce the cast components. The Graduate metallurgist performs hands-on tasks such as sample preparation (cutting, etching, mounting, polishing), evaluation and reporting. The role supports dispatching material testing, receipt of testing reports and certification against defined specifications. Involvement in troubleshooting and improvement initiatives are expected. The role initially is in partnership with a mentor until autonomous performance is demonstrated.

Salary: $90,000
