Job Description
Provide behavior intervention services to children and youth ages 3–21.
Deliver services in community, school, and treatment center settings.
Support children with developmental and behavioral needs.
Teach essential life, social, emotional, and behavioral skills to promote independence and success.
Collaborate with families, caregivers, schools, and treatment teams to support client goals.
Utilize evidence-based behavior intervention strategies proven to improve quality of life and long-term outcomes.
Support children and families during and after family placement to promote stability and lasting success.
Contribute to a family-focused treatment approach with a strong track record of helping children remain in permanent family settings.
General Responsibilities
Implement Program Implementation Plans (PIPs) as written by qualified clinicians to improve participants targeted skills
Collect accurate data in clinical software to track participants progress towards targeted goals
Maintain Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) standards, qualities, and safeguards to comply with regulations and participants’ preferences.
Review needs, preferences, and plans for any newly assigned participants
Utilize evidenced-based intervention techniques to de-escalate participant behaviors and redirect them to beneficial activities
Appropriately utilize crisis intervention techniques when needed after receiving the official Crisis Prevention training from the company
Aid in the development and maintenance of functional abilities and daily living skills that are developmentally appropriate for the participants
Model clinical methods to increase targeted skill to family members or other caretakers to allow for practice outside of treatment settings
Create and maintain positive relationships with family members and caretakers
Support and follow the direction of clinical supervisors and administrators.
Develop working relationship with other staff
Problem-solve and make programmatic suggestions when appropriate.
Attend two 1 hour trainings per month
Maintain skills needed to provide services as evaluated in once monthly observations by supervisor
Follow all other rules and safety regulations related to services
Perform other duties as assigned.
