Who were looking for:

M&S Machining is seeking candidates who are experts in metrology with strong CMM programming and Quality lab management experience. This position requires the ability manage the inspection of various elements, features, and dimensions as specified by engineering blueprints and help solve complex metrology issues as they arise while leading and ensuring the success of the quality lab.

What you’ll be doing:

• Maintain and analyze quality metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Management of the companies First Article Inspections per AS9102.
• Utilize various pieces of measuring equipment, including but not limited to, CMM, optical comparator, calipers, micrometers, surface profilometer, gage blocks, gage pins, height stand, etc.
• Lead junior quality personnel to solve problems and further develop their technical abilities.
• Develop and implement quality plans and inspection processes in the quality department to meet and improve upon customer on time delivery and quality requirements.
• Read and interpret complex engineering blueprints that incorporate GD&T.
• Partner with manufacturing teams to develop and implement inspection methods, process controls, and quality standards that ensure the successful production of high-quality parts.
• Assist in identifying and solving complex manufacturing and dimensional issues.

Favorable if you have:

• Proficiency with quality tools and techniques: FMEA, PPAP, APQP, etc.
• Machining, sheet forming, fabricating experience.
• Experience using PCDIMS software and Hexagon machines.
• ISO 9001 & AS9100 experience.
