About the Position:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Impact Funding Associate to play a key role in ensuring the effective and impactful allocation of Federation resources. In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner to the Director of Community Impact, working closely with staff, lay leaders, and funded agencies to support thoughtful funding decisions that align with community needs.
You will support Impact Teams and funding processes, manage proposal and reporting systems, and maintain strong relationships with partner agencies. This role also contributes to broader community planning efforts through data analysis, research, and forecasting, helping to inform strategic priorities and funding decisions.
In addition, the Impact Funding Associate supports grant writing, external funding coordination, and compliance efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who enjoys balancing relationship management, systems oversight, and analytical work while making a meaningful impact on the community.
What You Will Be Doing:
Strategic Funding & Agency Oversight
- Manage tracking systems to monitor agency submissions, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with funding requirements.
- Review proposals, reports, and supporting documents; follow up to resolve gaps or inconsistencies.
- Track agency eligibility for funding consideration and payments in coordination with leadership.
- Monitor and analyze agency reports (preliminary, interim, and final) to assess performance and identify risks or opportunities.
- Aggregate and interpret data to produce clear, actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee proposal and documentation tracking throughout funding cycles, including budgets, financials, and required materials.
- Ensure post-award compliance, including collection of reports, financial updates, and impact materials.Package outcomes, success stories, and data for use in donor communications, marketing, and community reporting.
- Identify opportunities for collaboration and alignment among funded agencies.
Impact Teams & Lay Leader Engagement
- Support Impact Teams in evaluating community needs and developing funding recommendations.
- Coordinate all logistical aspects of team operations, including scheduling, materials distribution, presentations, site visits, and meeting documentation.
- Prepare and organize materials such as proposals, reports, and data for team review.
- Assist in recruiting and placing lay leaders based on skills, interests, and community priorities.
- Support onboarding and orientation processes, including preparation of materials and presentations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with lay leaders to foster engagement and connection to the Federation.
- Progress toward independently managing Impact Team(s).
Grant Writing, Funding & Compliance
- Assist in preparing and submitting grant proposals and funding requests to corporate, foundation, and government funders.
- Ensure all submissions meet requirements, including supporting documentation and compliance standards.
- Maintain a centralized calendar of funding deadlines and reporting requirements.
- Track active grants and contracts to ensure timely reporting and compliance.
- Monitor expenses and documentation related to reimbursement-based funding.
- Support ongoing reporting and compliance for external funding sources.
Community Planning & Research
- Analyze demographic, statistical, and community data to identify trends, needs, and opportunities.
- Support forecasting and strategic planning to address evolving community priorities.
- Present insights in clear, accessible formats for donors, leadership, and community stakeholders.
- Explore ways to expand impact across diverse populations and strengthen program effectiveness.
- Contribute ideas to enhance donor engagement and align with evolving philanthropic interests.
- Participate in local and national collaborations to share best practices and bring new approaches to the Federation.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in community-building and grant management.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM experience a plus.
- Clear and effective written communication.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
