The Nurse Network is currently seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) for the following opportunities in New York:

Clifton Park, NY

| 40 hours per week | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, 3:00 PM-11:00 PM

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide expert patient care across diverse medical settings, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal health outcomes. Your expertise will support patients through various stages of care, from acute treatment to long-term management, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive healthcare services. Duties

• Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories.
• Administer medications and injections accurately, following prescribed protocols and ensuring patient safety.
• Manage airway support with ventilators and perform aseptic techniques during procedures such as IV insertions, phlebotomy, and catheter care.
• Conduct diagnostic evaluations utilizing laboratory experience and interpret results to inform treatment plans.
• Provide specialized care in nursing home setting.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans aligned with patient needs.
• Educate patients and families on health management strategies, medication administration, pain management techniques, and discharge planning.
• Participate in triage assessments in urgent care or outpatient settings to prioritize patient needs effectively.

Skills

• Proven experience working with diverse patient populations across assisted living communities or nursing homes.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for procedures, and diagnostic evaluation methods.
• Skilled in using EMR/EHR systems such as point click care.
• Expertise in advanced nursing procedures including ventilator management, sterile processing techniques, infection control practices, and aseptic technique adherence.
• Experience administering injections (including immunizations), IV infusions, venipuncture (venipuncture), phlebotomy, and specimen collection/processing.
• Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration; proficiency in medical documentation standards like MDS or NCQA standards is a plus.
