Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Roku Developer to design, build, and maintain high-quality Roku streaming applications. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in BrightScript and SceneGraph, understands video streaming technologies, and can work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver a smooth, engaging user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Roku applications using BrightScript, SceneGraph, and Roku SDK.

• Collaborate with backend, design, and product teams to integrate features and improve app functionality.

• Optimize performance for smooth video playback and responsive user interfaces.

• Integrate with RESTful APIs, JSON data, and streaming platforms (HLS, DRM).

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across various Roku devices.

• Keep up to date with Roku platform updates and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong experience with BrightScript, SceneGraph, and Roku SDK.

• Solid understanding of video streaming protocols (HLS, DASH) and DRM.

• Experience integrating APIs and handling JSON/XML data.

• Knowledge of agile development practices.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with analytics, A/B testing, and in-app tracking.

• Familiarity with Node.js or JavaScript for internal tools.

• Prior work on high-traffic consumer streaming applications.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 3+ years of experience developing Roku applications.
