Our design team is the engine behind our success, providing design-assist services and producing full shop drawings for our in-house fabrication facility to minimize turnaround and maximize value.

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-driven Project Engineer/Draftsperson to join our engineering team in Canton, MA. We are looking for a motivated individual with façade industry experience and a strong grasp of drafting fundamentals. While our team integrates with various BIM approaches, AutoCAD is our primary production tool. We need a talented drafter who can think "outside the box" to develop custom solutions for any design challenge that comes our way.

Key Responsibilities

• Drafting & Design: Produce cohesive sets of shop drawings—including plans, sections, and details—incorporating various architectural façade systems.
• 3D Modeling: Occasionally develop 3D models to visualize complex transitions or custom fabrication components.
• Project Collaboration: Work with PM teams to analyze and incorporate design changes throughout the process.
• Fabrication Integration: Develop an in-depth knowledge of our in-house fabrication equipment to ensure drawings are production-ready.
• Coordination: Streamline project requirements and client comments from architects to our shop drawings, to ensure seamless project execution and minimal turnaround.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of façade engineering or drafting experience.
• Software Skills: AutoCAD experience is required.
• Technical Proficiency: Must be able to read, understand, and navigate a complex set of architectural drawings.
• Façade Expertise: Previous knowledge and experience with façade systems is required. We need individuals who know how to put together a cohesive set of drawings specific to exterior wall systems.
• Revit Aptitude: Experience using Revit is a plus.
• Drafting Fundamentals: A proven ability to produce a high-quality, organized sets of drawings that adhere to industry and Sunrise Erectors drafting standards.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
