Property Manager (Bilingual Spanish/English) – Section 8 / Affordable Housing - 212 Units
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Bilingual Property Manager (Spanish/English) to oversee daily operations at an affordable housing community. This role requires hands-on property management experience with Section 8 or similar affordable housing programs, strong knowledge of Fair Housing regulations, and the ability to manage leasing, maintenance, and tenant relations on-site. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable serving as the primary point of contact for residents, vendors, and staff.
Qualifications – Property Manager (Bilingual Spanish/English)
Required
- Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written)
- 3+ years of experience in property management or affordable housing
- Direct experience with Section 8 compliance and Fair Housing regulations
- Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law and housing regulations
- Experience using property management software (Yardi, OneSite, Boston Post, or similar)
- Excellent customer service, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Strong organizational skills with experience in data entry and recordkeeping
Preferred
- Background in facilities or maintenance coordination
- Experience working in residential or multi-family housing
- Prior sales, leasing, or upselling experience in property management
Responsibilities – Property Manager (Bilingual Spanish/English)
- Manage leasing activities including tenant screening, lease execution, and renewals in compliance with Section 8 and Fair Housing regulations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, addressing questions, concerns, and disputes professionally
- Oversee property maintenance and facilities operations, coordinating repairs, inspections, and vendors
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance
- Maintain accurate records, contracts, and legal documentation
- Ensure compliance with landlord-tenant laws, Section 8 requirements, and local building codes
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to support daily site operations
- Deliver exceptional customer service through professional phone and in-person communication
