Job Summary:
The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day quality operations across all production departments, ensuring products are manufactured consistently, safely, and in compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
This role provides direct supervision of Quality Assurance Auditors while serving as the primary quality partner to production. The Quality Assurance Supervisor supports operations through auditing, batch record review, and real-time problem solving, while also ensuring the QA team is effectively prioritizing work, executing responsibilities, and maintaining high performance standards.
The Quality Assurance Supervisor works cross-functionally to identify issues, drive corrective actions, and strengthen overall compliance and quality systems.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and experienced in leading teams while balancing hands-on quality oversight with process improvement.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities (Additional duties may be assigned):
· Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the Quality Auditors, including task assignment, prioritization, and performance oversight
· Oversee day-to-day quality activities across production departments, ensuring work is performed in line with GMP and internal procedures
· Serve as the primary quality partner to production, providing guidance, direction, and escalation support
· Review batch records and manage product release decisions, ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant before approving, holding, or rejecting product
· Lead deviation and production complaint investigations, ensuring thorough fact-finding, root cause analysis, documentation, and follow-through on corrective actions
· Monitor quality trends and team performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving corrective or preventive actions
· Train, coach, and develop QA team members to ensure consistency, accountability, and adherence to quality standards
· Partner with cross-functional teams to solve problems, improve processes, and prevent recurring issues
Minimum Qualification Standards:
· 4–6+ years of experience in quality assurance within a regulated manufacturing environment (cannabis, food, pharmaceutical, or similar)
· 2+ years of direct supervisory or team leadership experience in a production or manufacturing setting
· Strong working knowledge of cGMP, HACCP, and quality systems, with demonstrated application in daily operations
· HACCP and PCQI Certified
· Demonstrated experience leading investigations and driving corrective actions
· Experience with ERP or similar regulatory tracking systems preferred
· Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage large volumes of data and documentation
· Ability to prioritize, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

· Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Environmental Conditions:
· Outside Work:Occasional. This role involves outdoor work in open fields and varying weather conditions.
