Job Overview
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible to ensure the efficient and stable operation of injection molds in production, provide practical suggestions and implement effective solutions throughout the design, trial production and mass production phases, and keep all departmental performance indicators within targeted ranges.
Essential Duties
1. Have in-depth expertise in the structure and working principles of injection molds. Quickly identify key components and vulnerable parts based on mold production and maintenance data, and formulate preventive maintenance plans and schedules.
2. Analyze bottlenecks in maintenance work via process optimization. Improve tool application, spare parts management and operating procedures to boost maintenance efficiency and reduce equipment downtime.
3. Trace mold faults from product defects. Combine mold structure and injection molding parameters to rapidly locate and resolve complex and hidden malfunctions.
4. Put forward optimization proposals during the mold design phase based on rich maintenance experience to enhance mold stability and service life.
5. Compile technical training documents through daily mold improvement work, and deliver professional training to the maintenance team to elevate the overall technical capability of the team.
6. Undertake management responsibilities in compliance with the company’s internal management systems as well as standards of IATF16949, ISO45001, ISO14001 and AEO (Authorized Economic Operator). Ensure effective system operation and continuously optimize relevant procedures and implementation within the department.
7. Complete other work tasks assigned by supervisors.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Education Background: Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering disciplines.
2. Work Experience: No less than 5 years of working experience in injection mold maintenance, injection mold design or mold project management.
3. Solid basic knowledge of molds; familiar with the structure, working principles and functions of all components of injection molds.
4. Possess fitter maintenance skills or injection mold design capabilities.
5. Proficient in data analysis and office software including Excel and PPT.
6. Diligent and reliable, good at communication and coordination, with strong execution ability and pressure resistance.
This position is open to both entry-level and experienced candidates. Recent engineering graduates with internships, co-op experience, or coursework related to manufacturing, plastics, or injection molding are encouraged to apply. Training and development will be provided for qualified candidates.
