Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Prestress Estimating Manager to lead our prestressed concrete estimation team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development of accurate and competitive cost estimates for complex prestressed concrete projects, ensuring alignment with project specifications, budgets, and timelines. Your expertise will drive the bidding process, foster strong client relationships, and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality construction projects. Duties

• Lead and manage the prestress estimating team to produce precise and competitive project bids for prestressed concrete structures.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project scope, technical requirements, and contractual obligations.
• Develop detailed cost estimates utilizing heavyBid or similar estimating software, incorporating labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Review construction drawings and specifications thoroughly to identify potential challenges or value engineering opportunities.
• Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure favorable pricing while maintaining quality standards.
• Monitor project budgets and cost control measures throughout the bidding process and project execution phases.
• Ensure compliance with all contractual terms, safety standards, and industry regulations related to prestressed concrete construction.

Skills

• Extensive experience in construction estimating with a focus on prestressed concrete or heavy civil projects.
• Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam for digital document management and markup.
• Strong negotiation skills to secure optimal pricing and contractual terms with suppliers and clients.
• Deep understanding of construction management principles, including cost control, scheduling, and project delivery methods.
• Knowledge of contracts, legal considerations, and project management practices within the construction industry.
• Construction site experience that provides practical insights into field operations and material requirements.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
