POSITION OVERVIEW

The Sunquest Analyst Testing Consultant will lead and execute comprehensive testing efforts in support of a Sunquest Laboratory Information System (LIS) upgrade to version 2024.2. This role is central to ensuring the safe, accurate, and compliant deployment of the upgraded system across General Lab, Blood Bank, and Microbiology workflows.

Working closely with laboratory operations, IT, and vendor partners, this consultant will drive validation activities from test planning through sign-off, serving as a key point of coordination across clinical, technical, and regulatory workstreams. www.radost.us

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Testing and Validation Execution

• Develop and execute test scripts, test cases, and validation plans covering Sunquest LIS workflows across all applicable laboratory modules
• Perform functional, integration, and regression testing across General Lab, Microbiology, Blood Bank, and interface components
• Validate test results, reference ranges, flags, and clinical workflows to confirm accuracy and system integrity
• Support defect tracking, triage, and resolution coordination in partnership with vendor and internal teams

Regulatory and Compliance Support

• Ensure all testing activities align with CAP, CLIA, and organizational validation requirements
• Maintain documentation for audit readiness, including test evidence, validation traceability matrices, and sign-off records
• Participate in formal validation sign-off processes in coordination with clinical and compliance stakeholders

System and Workflow Validation

• Validate orderables, panels, and result structures across laboratory departments
• Test instrument interfaces and middleware integrations for accuracy and reliability
• Confirm result routing, reporting logic, and downstream system connections, including Epic integration
• Partner with subject matter experts to verify that configured workflows accurately reflect real-world clinical operations

Project and Stakeholder Coordination

• Collaborate with laboratory SMEs across Core Lab, Blood Bank, and Microbiology
• Coordinate with IT application and interface teams to resolve technical issues
• Serve as a liaison with vendor partners, including Clinisys Sunquest, throughout the testing engagement
• Participate in test cycle reviews, status meetings, and issue resolution sessions
• Maintain clear, organized documentation of testing progress, open items, and risk areas

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5 or more years of hands-on experience with Sunquest LIS; Clinisys Sunquest experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated expertise in LIS testing, validation methodology, and QA processes
• Practical experience with Core Lab and/or Blood Bank laboratory workflows
• Experience with instrument interface and middleware testing
• Background supporting LIS system upgrades or full implementations
• Familiarity with structured defect tracking tools and formal testing frameworks
• Associate degree required; additional education or certification in a relevant field preferred

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Sunquest upgrade projects or multi-site LIS implementations
• Blood Bank validation workflow experience, including regulatory considerations
• Working knowledge of CAP and CLIA compliance requirements in a laboratory testing context
