Summary: The primary purpose of this position is to develop, maintain, and enhance the Interstate-McBee eCommerce website (Sitefinity + SmarterCommerce) and support the Interstate-McBee public website (WordPress). This role focuses heavily on hands-on implementation and technical execution, turning UX direction, business requests, and marketing initiatives into working, tested, production-ready site updates. A key responsibility of this role is improving customer engagement and driving more sales through reliable site operations, custom MVC widget development, efficient workflows, and continuous usability and content improvements. This position reports to the Marketing Manager.
Essential Functions:
- Execute website enhancements from concepts/wireframes into live site updates, ensuring alignment with brand standards, responsiveness, and usability best practices.
- Build, update, and maintain front-end components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including templates, reusable page sections, and interactive UI components.
- Develop and maintain custom MVC widgets using C#, ASP.NET MVC, and Razor, including configurable properties to support content editor workflows.
- Follow Git/version control practices and contribute to basic QA and release workflows across dev/test/production environments; assist with troubleshooting common environment issues (including IIS/app settings) when needed.
- Diagnose and fix issues spanning widgets/templates and front-end behavior (publishing, caching, responsiveness, configuration), escalating integration logic issues with documented reproducible steps as needed.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements to website functionality, user experience, and digital workflows, translating requirements into build-ready tasks and deliverables.
- Upload, organize, and maintain digital assets, including product images, descriptions, technical documentation, and downloadable resources, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Document repeatable workflows and contribute to internal “how-to” resources for site updates, widget usage, troubleshooting, and release readiness.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Document all custom code and website enhancements with clear usage and support notes to enable internal maintenance and future updates.
- Own ongoing maintenance of custom widgets and front-end code through regular audits and updates to keep all customizations supported, stable, and upgrade compatible.
- Support marketing initiatives by implementing on-site updates (landing pages, merchandising components, content blocks, basic tracking support) in partnership with Marketing
- Ensure consistency of branding and messaging across all digital platforms.
- Stay informed about eCommerce and web development trends to recommend practical improvements to platform performance, experience, and site usability.
Required Physical and Environmental Demands:

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Two to four years of experience in web development, eCommerce, website management, or a related role with demonstrated hands-on build responsibility.
- Proficiency in CMS and eCommerce systems (e.g., Sitefinity + SmarterCommerce).
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus working knowledge of C#/.NET and ASP .NET MVC/Razor.
- Working knowledge of Git/version control and familiarity with basic QA/release practices across dev/test/production environments.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver enhancements and resolve technical issues.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver reliable results.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
