Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Millworks to lead our manufacturing operations and technological initiatives. This leadership role requires a comprehensive understanding of industrial processes, IT infrastructure, and project management to ensure operational excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, technical expertise across various IT systems, and a proven track record in driving efficiency within a complex manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the millworks, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for process optimization, leveraging expertise in system design, automation, and digital transformation.
• Lead cross-functional teams in managing IT infrastructure including cloud computing (AWS, Azure), virtualization (vSphere), network security (firewalls, VPNs), and system administration.
• Manage enterprise applications such as ERP systems, databases (SQL, Oracle), and data warehouses to support business operations.
• Ensure cybersecurity measures are in place by implementing network security protocols, disaster recovery plans, and compliance with NIST standards.
• Drive innovation through the integration of AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics to improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
• Lead vendor management efforts for IT hardware/software procurement and service agreements.
• Establish policies for business continuity planning, risk management, change management, and IT governance aligned with industry best practices.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop budgets, project timelines (SDLC), and resource allocation for ongoing initiatives.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement by adopting Agile methodologies and DevOps practices within project teams.

Experience

• Extensive leadership experience in manufacturing or industrial settings with a focus on millwork or related sectors.
• Proven expertise in managing complex IT infrastructures including cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), virtualization (vSphere), network security (MPLS, DNS), and enterprise databases (Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB).
• Strong background in software development languages such as JavaScript (React, Angular), Python, Java (.NET), PHP, Node.js, and application frameworks like React Express.
• Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity principles including firewall management, VPNs, network security protocols, and system administration.
• Experience implementing AI solutions, machine learning models, data warehousing solutions, and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and APIs integration.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage large teams across multiple disciplines while fostering collaboration among technical staff and business units.
• Strong communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement and vendor negotiations.
• Ability to develop strategic plans aligned with industry standards such as NIST standards for information security. Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
