We sell water filtration systems to homeowners and businesses online, and we're growing fast. We're on pace to blow past a $40M run rate this year, with web leading the charge at 70%+ YoY in recent quarters.
Today we're investing heavily in conversion, owned channels. Plenty of work ahead with site improvements, product pages to revamp, email and SMS programs to scale, and reviews and referrals to grow. We're quickly becoming one of the fastest-growing mid-size e-commerce businesses in the Midwest.
The Role
We’re hiring a Manager of CRO, Organic & AEO to own conversion, organic search, and our owned channels (email, reviews, referrals). You'll lead strategy across a deep stack of tools, growing a direct report by teaching and delegating tranches of execution while you focus on strategy and growth, reporting to the VP of E-Commerce and Marketing.
What You'll Do
- Own AEO as a primary growth funnel. Build authority and presence in the communities our buyers actually live in (Reddit, niche forums, expert destinations), optimize and develop new blog formats and case study series, and execute authority-building strategies designed to feed AI answer engines and capture intent at the source
- Own organic search strategy across keyword targeting, technical SEO direction, content prioritization, and on-page optimization
- Oversee CRO copy optimization across product pages, email flows, and landing pages, driving messaging hierarchy, value proposition clarity, and conversion-focused structure (we leverage AI tools to draft, you own the strategy, framework, and quality bar)
- Plan and run split tests on the site by prioritizing the test roadmap, designing experiments across PDPs, checkout, forms, and key landing pages, analyzing results, and rolling winners into permanent gains
- Own Klaviyo flows end-to-end as a full ecosystem across hundreds of products and customer data points. Build custom funnels and flows including offer pop-ups, follow-up email, SMS, abandoned-cart and abandoned-browse series, “did-you-know” intent-based series, pre- and post-purchase sequences, win-back, replenishment, and revenue-driving campaigns based on viewing and purchase behavior
- Own review growth in Yotpo, building review request flows, managing outreach tools to drive submission volume, designing loyalty touchpoints, and turning reviews into conversion assets across the site and ads
- Optimize blog for SEO and AEO and spearhead a credibility building and AEO building case study program, by setting editorial direction, identifying AEO-friendly topics, and shipping pieces that drive both traffic and authority
- Spearhead the referral program by designing the offer structure, and creating campaigns that turn happy customers into a meaningful acquisition channel
- Manage ReCharge subscriptions, optimizing the subscriber experience, reducing churn, and growing LTV from our filter replacement base. Help champion and grow a new subscription company initiative.
- Delegate tranches of day-to-day execution of your responsibilities to a direct report, giving them specific tasks to execute and optimize against while helping them grow
What We're Looking For
- Meaningful hands-on experience with Klaviyo, ReCharge, and Yotpo (or equivalent platforms), with enough mastery to delegate specific, actionable tasks to a direct report
- Strong CRO and split testing background
- SEO/AEO strategy experience
- Comfortable owning copy strategy and quality
- Ability to tweak basic HTML is a plus
Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
