We are currently looking for a dynamic Computer Technician.

At Essential Industries, we focus on solving customer's problems through innovative polymers. Essential Industries creates water-based polymers to provide customers with solutions and technology to meet their many coating needs. This position requires someone who can clearly communicate with leaders across various departments from manufacturing to research and development. Essential Functions

• Maintain and monitor standard networking infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi).
• Respond to and resolve help desk tickets promptly to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
• Set up, configure, and deploy employee workstations and devices.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls within standard enterprise systems.
• Document technical issues, solutions, and internal procedures clearly.
• Assist in exploring and implementing AI-driven tools and productivity systems.

Competencies

• Experience working as an IT Technician or in a similar help desk role.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
• Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows/Mac OS and standard office software.
• Hands-on experience with PC/server hardware diagnostics and repairs.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with AI systems, prompt engineering, or LLM tools is highly valued.
• Associate's degree in Data Science/IT related discipline
