The Surgical Technology instructor plays a crucial role in fostering a supportive learning environment that promotes maximum student achievement and understanding in the career and technical field. They take on the responsibility for all elements of the career and technical education (CTE) course curriculum. Teaching experience isn't necessary. Essential responsibilities:

- Teaches students knowledge, social skills, and concepts.

- Demonstrates the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse student populations, faculty, and administration at Pinellas Technical College.

- Lead hands-on instruction in surgical technology by utilizing real-world labs and clinical environments.

- Evaluate student progress

- Maintains a classroom that recognizes respect for both teacher and student; motivates students in an atmosphere of respect and freedom.

- Enhance recruitment and retention efforts through active outreach and student engagement initiatives.

- Keep precise academic and attendance records as well as maintain regular communication with the Assistant Director.

Requirements:

Minimum 6 years' experience in the field of Surgical Technology.

Applicant must possess a current credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by:

The National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA)

OR

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).

Pay: $28.00 per hour
