They take on the responsibility for all elements of the career and technical education (CTE) course curriculum. Teaching experience isn't necessary. Essential responsibilities:
- Teaches students knowledge, social skills, and concepts.
- Demonstrates the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse student populations, faculty, and administration at Pinellas Technical College.
- Lead hands-on instruction in surgical technology by utilizing real-world labs and clinical environments.
- Evaluate student progress
- Maintains a classroom that recognizes respect for both teacher and student; motivates students in an atmosphere of respect and freedom.
- Enhance recruitment and retention efforts through active outreach and student engagement initiatives.
- Keep precise academic and attendance records as well as maintain regular communication with the Assistant Director.
Requirements:
Minimum 6 years' experience in the field of Surgical Technology.
Applicant must possess a current credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by:
The National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA)
OR
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
Pay: $28.00 per hour
