JOB Position Summary: The EMS Testing Evaluator is responsible for evaluating program students' skills and performance to ensure competency of the National Registry of EMT's skills and assessments necessary for certification.

Compensation: $125 for event EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Duties and Responsibilities: Within the scope of college policies and procedures, this position:

Shares expert knowledge in all established testing areas of the EMT or Paramedic national curriculum

Evaluates students performing skills or assessments to determine minimum competency

Assesses students' knowledge and understanding of curriculum, including determining if student was successful or unsuccessful in performing a particular skill or assessment

Identifies critical criteria on various testing scenarios

Documents all findings on the required forms and grade sheets as required by the program and the National Registry of EMTs

Performs other related duties as assigned

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION Work Environment: Work is performed in a variety of environments, ranging from standard climate controlled rooms to outdoors, low light conditions, environments with extremes in temperatures, exposure to loud noises, sirens, moisture, slippery conditions and other hazards that simulate environments consistent with medical emergencies. May require evening or weekend work.

Physical Requirements: Essential functions of this position require: lifting, manual dexterity, ability to communicate.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body; involves sitting majority of time; walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met

Mental Application: Utilizes memory for details, verbal instructions, emotional stability, critical thinking, adaptability and creative problem solving skills are important
